Use the **Yellow Parking Zone first**, then use the **Red Zone** once the Yellow is Full.

**DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS:** On Westhimer, make a left onto Hayes Rd. Go past the first left entrance and turn left into the second entrance. Go straight, and you can park in the right lot or go further and park in the yellow lot. *Look at the blue arrows on the map*

**Inside the venue, we will be using the auditorium mainly, as well as 2 workshop rooms that are all highlighted in&#x20;*****BLUE,*****&#x20;and&#x20;*****the*****&#x20;restrooms are in&#x20;*****RED.***

### Rules

1. **Build it during the hackathon.** All code must be written during the event. Pre-existing projects are not allowed. Open-source libraries, frameworks, and public datasets are fair game.
2. **Teams of 1–4.** Teams can have up to 4 members. Solo participants are welcome. All team members must be registered attendees.
3. **Submit before the deadline.** All projects must be submitted on Devpost before the hacking deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted for judging.
4. **You must be a student.** HackHCC is open to all students — undergraduate, graduate, high school, or community college. Bring your student ID. **YOU MUST BE 18+**
5. **Be excellent to each other.** All participants must follow the [MLH Code of Conduct](https://github.com/mlh/mlh-policies/blob/main/code-of-conduct.md). Harassment of any kind will result in removal from the event.
6. **Build anything.** Apps, websites, hardware, games, AI models — if you can build it in 24 hours, it's fair game.

### FAQ

**What is a hackathon?** A 24-hour competition where you and up to 3 teammates build a project from scratch and compete for prizes. Sponsors run workshops and activities throughout the weekend.

**Who can participate?** Everyone — no experience required! We'll host beginner-friendly workshops. Bring a student ID.

**What should I bring?** Laptop, charger, and a hacking spirit. Set up your dev environment beforehand if you can. We provide WiFi, power, and food.

**Do I need a team?** Nope. Come solo and find teammates at the team formation session, or bring a pre-formed team of up to 4.

**Is there a cost?** HackHCC: CodeRunners is completely **free** — including workshops, meals, and swag.

**Are travel reimbursements available?** No travel reimbursements are offered.

**What can I build?** Anything created during the event: apps, websites, hardware, games, AI models. Sponsor tracks offer bonus prizes for specific technologies.
